"Spontaneous rupture of the kidney due to metastatic choriocarcinoma which was originated from the uterus was presented with literatural review. A 49 year old female patient was admitted to our Department of Urology via Emergency Room on Oct. 1st, 1975. Her chief complaint was sudden colicky left flank pain for 4-6 hours with acute abdominal distention, and shock. After control of shock, DIP was done which showed the evidence of the left kidney rupture. Under the impression of spontaneous rupture of left kidney, exploratory laparotomy was performed and nephrectomy (left) done. Pathologic diagnosis was renal parenchymal rupture due to metastasis of choriocarcinoma from the uterus."
